Tsurugi Momoko is the main character of Kurenai!! Onnajuku. She is a descendant of Tsurugi Momotaro and Tsurugi Shishimaru, and a student at Onnajuku.
Appearance[]
Momoko is very slender, particularly compared to her ancestors, and has long pink hair and grey eyes. While she initially appears with her hair down, she later ties it in a ponytail with the same headband worn by her ancestors. She wears a purple sailor uniform with a white collar, and she carries a katana.
Personality[]
Like her ancestors, Momoko is fearless, calm, and composed, and confident in her abilities. She also appears to take pride in her femininity, and she considers Edajima Heihachi's opinion, that Japanese women are a replacement for the lost Japanese men, to be "petty."
Powers and Abilities[]
Momoko is strong enough to single-handedly stop the Onnajuku first-years' Straight March, and quick enough to cut a bullet in half mid-flight with her sword.
Techniques[]
Ki Battle Tactics(氣功闘法,Kikou Touhou): Like her ancestors, Momoko has the ability to use her Ki to augment her abilities. However, this significantly decreases her stamina and causes profuse perspiration. She can use the following techniques:
- Stiff Cloth Fist Breaker(硬布拳砕功,Koufu Kensaikou): By infusing her Ki into her hair ribbon, Momoko can make it into a sharp blade.
History[]
During Momoko's first visit to Onnajuku, Edajima Heihachi told her of the purpose of founding the new school, to train women so they could replace the Japanese men. When Momoka called this vision petty, Edajima challenged her to demonstrate her Spirit of Yamato. In response, Momoko stood before the entire First-Year Onnajuku class, single-handedly stopping the Forward March and slicing a bullet shot by Oni-Momiage in half and knocking her out, before challenging the class to defeat her. Edajima then recognized her Spirit of Yamato, and approved her enrollment to Onnajuku.

Etymology[]
- Tsurugi means "sword, blade, saber, bayonet, sting, clock hand" (剣).
- Momoko means "peach" (桃) (momo) and "child" (子) (ko).
