Master Hong Li-Ming is the personal master of the warriors of Hades Phoenix Island.
Appearance[]
In a normal way, Hong Li-Ming wears a Kung Fu uniform, with glasses that hide his white eyes. He is completely bald except for a ponytail, in addition to being somewhat obese.
When fighting, he wears only one pair of pants.
Personality[]
Hong Li-Ming looks like someone who is optimistic and calm, who even when they lose, is capable of pulling new aces up his sleeve. But when the moment calls for it, it gets serious. He has an unshakable honor, and is capable of committing suicide if he fails his lord.

Techniques[]
- Puppet Silent Surging Strings (傀儡窕彭糸, Kugutsu Chohoshi): Li-Ming throws needles at his opponent's nerve centers. These needles are attached to steel wires, which Li-Ming uses to control his opponent like a marionette.
- Thousand-Pace Ki Fist (千步氣功拳, Senpo Kikoken): Li-Ming is capable of firing his Ki at his opponent in the shape of a giant hand-chop. While this usually takes fifty years to master, Li-Ming mastered it in ten. However, his Ki fist is considered by Edajima to be incomplete, with their power owing more to the number of fists he is able to throw rather than the sheer power of any single one of them.

Early Life[]
Decades ago, Hong Li-Ming studied the art of Thousand-Pace Ki Fist thanks to his master Sage Chen. After ten years of learning, he managed to learn his technique. His teacher informed him that there had been a man who had learned it in just three months, and the one who had learned it was a man named Edajima Heihachi!
Great Heaven-Challenging Olympic Tournament[]
Hong Li-Ming was the instructor of the warriors of Hades Phoenix Island, therefore, he was in charge of providing Todo Gouki with his best students. The first of them to be selected was Rajah Mahal, who despite killing Gekkou, fell under the power of Hien. Later he sent the elite of his warriors: the Three Mongolian Warlords, who were defeated by the Otokojuku warriors. And after Otokojuku Third Helper easily defeated Liu Song-xi and Liu Song-qu, he decided to face him.
Edajima Heihachi lunged at Hong with his spear, but he jumped him out, as well as breaking his spear into pieces. Excited, Edajima lunged at him again, but Hong managed to destroy his armor. Right at once, a pillar emerged from the ground, and Hong Li-Ming climbed on top of it, throwing a series of needles at his adversary to use his Puppet Silent Surging Strings.
Controlling him like a puppet, he made Edajima start beating himself up, before ordering him to stop. Suddenly, a spike emerged from the ground, and Hong Li-Ming caused Edajima to rush into it. Thinking that he was already finished with him, Hong Li-Ming stepped down from his pilar... only to see that Edajima had managed to avoid that spike, kicking him back in the face.
Hong quickly recovered, and attacked Edajima with his Thousand-Pace Ki Fist, repeatedly striking his adversary. But that hardly hurt Edajima, since he had perfected Sage Chen's technique long ago. Scared, Hong Li-Ming recalled the words of his teacher, who told him that Edajima Heihachi was the best student he ever had.
Hong Li-Ming managed to crouch down in time, before receiving the impact from Edajima's Thousand-Pace Ki Fist. Seeing that he was no match for him, Hong Li-Ming accepted his defeat, watching in surprise as Edajima retired on the same plane that had previously crashed.
Once back with Todo Gouki, Hong knelt before him and accepted his fate: death. But his young lord decided to spare his life...although Todo Hyoei had other plans as he executed him.
